You can see the mountain ranges of Tokushima, Shikoku, in the distance, and enjoy watching the various large ships passing through the Kii Channel.
Suhara Coast in Yuasa Bay, Wakayama Prefecture, was known as "Shirakami no Iso" (Shirakami Beach) during the Heian period, and is where travelers on the Kumano Kodo trail departed by boat for the Hidaka region on their pilgrimage to Kumano. The scenic coast offers views of Karumo Island, where the Kamakura-period monk Myoe Shonin underwent rigorous training. Some say it's the most beautiful view in Japan. Located on this coast, Suhara Seaside House lets you open the windows and enjoy the pleasant, mineral-rich sea breeze that permeates your body. (The terrace pictured is connected to your room and is free for use during your stay.) Swimming in the sea and basking in the sea breeze are also said to build immunity in the body's bronchi, reducing the risk of catching a cold and improving atopic dermatitis. In Europe, this treatment is considered immunotherapy (thalassotherapy).

Yuasa Town, the birthplace of soy sauce, is a traditional buildings preservation district registered as a Japanese heritage site. After touring the old townscape, you can enjoy the clean public bath in the town. It is about a 3-minute drive from Seaside House.
